Dehumidifier emits a musty or moldy odor from the air outlet.

Steps:

• Clean bucket: Empty and wash the water bucket with warm soapy water. Disinfect with a diluted bleach solution (1 tbsp bleach per gallon of water), rinse thoroughly, and dry.
• Clean filter: Wash the air filter and let it dry completely.
• Coil cleaning: With power off, spray a non-rinse evaporator coil cleaner (safe for aluminum) onto the evaporator coil. Allow to work per product instructions.
• Drain channel: Clean the drain outlet and channel with a small brush and disinfectant.
• Run on fan-only: After cleaning, run the unit on fan-only mode for 30–60 minutes to help dry internal surfaces.
