Possible Causes
Empty or improperly seated water tank, Stuck float in water reservoir, Failed water level sensor or reed switch, Wiring issue between level sensor and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the humidifier before removing the tank.
Steps:
- Check water tank: Remove the tank, fill it to the proper level, and reinstall it firmly. Ensure it is aligned with any guide rails or switches.
- Inspect float: In the base, locate the water level float (often a small plastic piece that rises with water). Make sure it moves freely and is not coated with scale or slime. Clean with mild vinegar solution if needed.
- Sensor check: Some Tosot humidifiers use a magnetic float and reed switch. Verify the magnet is intact and the float is not waterlogged.
- Replace sensor: If F1 persists with a full, correctly seated tank and free-moving float, the water level sensor or reed switch may be defective and should be replaced.
