Possible Causes
Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Heavy mineral scale on transducer surface, Open or shorted transducer wiring, Driver circuit failure on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the water tank before servicing. Do not touch the transducer while powered.
Steps:
- Access transducer: Remove the water tank and any covers to expose the metal ultrasonic transducer disc in the base.
- Clean scale: If there is white mineral buildup, soak the transducer area with a 1:1 vinegar-water solution for 20–30 minutes, then gently wipe with a soft cloth. Do not scratch the disc.
- Inspect wiring: Check the small wires from the transducer to the control board for breaks or corrosion.
- Test operation: Reassemble, refill, and briefly power on. If F2 returns and there is no mist, the transducer or its driver circuit is likely failed.
- Replace transducer module: Install a new ultrasonic transducer assembly compatible with your Tosot humidifier. If the driver circuit on the board is burnt, the main PCB may also need replacement.
