Humidifier or dehumidifier displays HI for humidity and may not dehumidify effectively.

Steps:

• Verify humidity: Use a separate hygrometer to confirm if humidity is truly very high (e.g., >90%). If so, allow the unit time to reduce humidity.
• Improve room conditions: Close windows and doors, reduce moisture sources (showers, cooking), and ensure adequate room airflow.
• Clean sensor area: Remove front grille and gently blow dust off the humidity sensor with compressed air. Do not touch the sensing element.
• Check wiring: Ensure the humidity sensor connector is secure on the control board.
• Replace sensor: If HI persists with normal room humidity, replace the humidity sensor assembly.
