How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn the unit off before removing the bucket to avoid spills.

Steps:

  • Empty bucket: Pull out the water tank and empty it completely. Rinse to remove slime or debris.
  • Check float: Inside the bucket, locate the plastic float that rises with water level. Ensure it moves freely up and down and is not stuck by mineral deposits or dirt. Clean as needed.
  • Reinstall bucket: Slide the bucket back in firmly until it is fully seated. Many Tosot models have a bucket switch that must be depressed by the bucket edge.
  • Continuous drain mode: If using a drain hose, ensure the bucket is still installed correctly and the hose is not kinked or elevated above the drain outlet.
  • Test bucket switch: If P2 remains with an empty, properly seated bucket, the bucket full switch may be faulty. With the unit unplugged, access the switch near the bucket area, check wiring, and test continuity while actuating the switch. Replace if defective.
