Possible Causes

Internal condensate pump jammed or seized, Blocked pump discharge hose, Failed pump motor, Pump float switch stuck or defective

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the pump compartment. Expect some water spillage; have towels ready.

Steps:

  • Check drain hose: Ensure the pump discharge hose is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked at the outlet. Clear any obstructions.
  • Inspect pump tray: Remove the bucket and access the internal pump reservoir (usually behind or under the bucket area). Clean out slime, mold, or debris that could jam the pump or float.
  • Check pump float: Verify the float moves freely. If stuck, clean and free it. A stuck float can falsely signal a pump fault.
  • Test pump operation: With the unit reassembled and plugged in, activate pump mode (if selectable) and listen for the pump motor. If silent or just humming, the pump motor may be failed.
  • Replace pump assembly: If the motor is not running or is noisy and not moving water, replace the internal condensate pump assembly with a Tosot-compatible unit.
