Possible Causes
Open/shorted ambient NTC sensor, Damaged sensor cable, Corroded connector, Failed main PCB sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Locate sensor: The ambient NTC is usually near the air intake or on a small bracket inside the airflow path.
- Inspect wiring: Check for pinched or broken wires and ensure the connector is firmly attached to the control board.
- Measure resistance: Use a multimeter to verify the sensor has a reasonable resistance at room temperature (not open or shorted).
- Replace sensor: If readings are abnormal, install a new Trotec-compatible NTC sensor.
- PCB check: If a new sensor does not clear F1, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
