Possible Causes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the humidifier. Water must be drained before accessing the transducer or heater.

Steps:

  • Drain and clean: Empty the water tank and base. Remove mineral deposits from the transducer surface using white vinegar and a soft cloth. Do not scratch the disc.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the transducer wires and connector for burns or breaks.
  • Test operation: Refill with clean water and run the unit. If F4 returns and no mist is produced, the transducer or driver is likely faulty.
  • Replace transducer module: Install a new ultrasonic transducer assembly or heater module as specified for your Trotec model.
  • Board-level repair: If the new transducer does not work, the driver circuit on the PCB may be damaged and require board replacement.
