Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Kinked drain hose, Failed pump motor, Faulty pump float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination; dry any spills before working.
Steps:
- Check external drain: Ensure the drain hose from the pump is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked at the outlet.
- Access pump tray: On pump models, remove the rear or side panel to access the internal pump reservoir.
- Clean pump and float: Remove debris, slime, or scale from the pump tray. Verify the float moves freely and is not stuck in the up position.
- Test pump operation: With the unit reassembled and powered, pour a small amount of water into the pump tray and observe if the pump activates and discharges water.
- Replace pump assembly: If the pump does not run or is noisy and ineffective, replace the condensate pump module with a Trotec-compatible part.
