Possible Causes
Cracked water tank, Worn tank cap gasket, Overfilling tank, Misaligned tank on base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and dry the area.
Steps:
- Check tank for cracks: Remove and visually inspect the tank. Fill it over a sink to see if water seeps from seams.
- Inspect cap and gasket: Examine the tank cap and rubber gasket for deformation or cracks. Replace the gasket if it is hardened or damaged.
- Correct filling: Do not fill above the maximum mark. Ensure the cap is tightened properly before placing the tank on the base.
- Seat tank correctly: Align the tank with the base guides so that valves and seals mate properly.
- Replace tank: If the tank body is cracked, replace it with an original Trotec tank.
