Possible Causes
Cracked water tank, Misaligned tank, Blocked internal drain channel, Leaking hose connection for continuous drain
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any water to prevent slipping and electrical hazards.
Steps:
- Inspect tank: Remove the water tank and check for cracks or damage. Fill it at a sink to see if it leaks.
- Check tank seating: Ensure the tank slides fully into place and engages the internal seals.
- Clean drain channel: Locate the drain outlet from the evaporator tray to the tank. Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to remove slime or debris.
- Continuous drain: If using a hose, ensure it is firmly attached, slopes downward continuously, and is not blocked.
- Replace damaged parts: Replace a cracked tank or worn tank gasket as needed.
