How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the housing.
- Hard reset: Unplug the unit for at least 15 minutes. Press and hold the power button (if accessible) for 10 seconds while unplugged to discharge capacitors, then reconnect and test.
- Check supply voltage: Ensure the outlet provides stable voltage within the range specified on the rating label. Avoid using long, thin extension cords or multi-plug adapters.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the top cover and locate the ribbon cable or harness between the display/control panel and the main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully, ensuring no bent pins.
- Look for damage: Examine the main PCB for burn marks, swollen capacitors, or corrosion from moisture. If present, the board should be replaced.
- Firmware/board replacement: Venta control boards are not typically field-reprogrammable. If E5 persists after reseating cables and power reset, replace the main control PCB (and display PCB if sold as a set).
