How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting the tank switch.

  • Re-seat the tank: Remove the water tank and reinstall it carefully, ensuring it is fully seated and oriented correctly. Some models require the tank lid to be fully closed to engage the switch.
  • Check tank magnet: If your Venta uses a magnetic reed switch, inspect the bottom of the tank for a small embedded magnet. If it is missing or loose, the switch will not detect the tank.
  • Inspect the switch: Locate the tank presence switch in the base (either a mechanical microswitch or a reed switch). Verify that it is not physically broken and that the actuator moves when the tank is installed.
  • Test continuity: With a multimeter and the unit unplugged, test the switch for proper open/closed operation when the tank is in and out. Replace the tank presence switch if it does not change state.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the harness from the switch to the main PCB is intact and firmly connected.
