Possible Causes
Defective evaporator/ambient NTC sensor, Sensor wiring damaged by corrosion or vibration, Loose sensor connector on control board, Failed sensor input circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dehumidifier before removing any panels.
- Reset: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes and reconnect. If F1 returns immediately, proceed with inspection.
- Locate sensor: On Venta dehumidifiers, the temperature sensor is usually clipped to the evaporator coil or near the air intake. Access the front or side panel as per the manual.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Check that the sensor is firmly clipped to the coil and that its wires are not broken or corroded. Reseat the connector on the main PCB.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance and compare with the temperature/resistance chart for your model. Replace the evaporator/ambient NTC sensor if readings are out of range or intermittent.
- PCB fault: If a new sensor does not clear F1, the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
