How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before investigating any noise source.

Remove obstructions: Take off the upper housing and inspect the fan impeller and evaporation disk stack for foreign objects (toys, debris). Remove anything found.
Check disk stack alignment: Ensure the disk stack is seated correctly on its shaft and not rubbing against the basin or housing. If disks are warped or broken, replace the evaporation disk stack.
Tighten fasteners: Inspect the fan motor mounting screws and any internal brackets. Tighten any loose screws carefully.
Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand; it should spin smoothly without grinding. If it feels rough or wobbly, the fan motor bearings may be worn and the motor should be replaced.
Reassemble and test: After corrections, reassemble and run the unit. If noise persists, replace the fan motor assembly.
