Possible Causes
Heating element overheating, No water in heating chamber, Heavy mineral scale on heater, Failed overheat thermostat or thermal fuse
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before opening or cleaning. Do not touch the heating chamber while hot.
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated so water can flow into the heating chamber.
- Descale heater: Remove the medicine cup and top cover to access the heating chamber (refer to manual). Fill the chamber with a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution and let soak 20–30 minutes. Gently scrub mineral deposits with a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.
- Reset thermal cutout: Some models have a manual reset thermostat button on the base. Once cooled, press the small red or black reset button if present.
- Inspect thermal fuse: If the unit never heats and E3 persists, the internal thermal fuse or thermostat may be open and require replacement.
