Possible Causes

Failed ultrasonic transducer disc, Loose transducer wiring, Mineral scale on transducer surface, Faulty driver circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and empty the water tank before working near the transducer.

  • Clean transducer: Locate the round metal ultrasonic transducer in the base water reservoir. Soak a cotton swab in white vinegar and gently clean the surface to remove mineral deposits. Do not scratch the disc.
  • Rinse and dry: Rinse the base with clean water and dry the transducer area with a soft cloth.
  • Check wiring: If you can access the underside of the base, verify that the transducer’s two-wire connector is firmly attached to the PCB.
  • Replace transducer: If E5 persists and there is still no mist, the transducer module or its driver circuit is likely defective and should be replaced as an assembly.
