Possible Causes
Missing or damaged float in base, Stuck float in down position, Faulty base design or crack, Tank valve not shutting off when base is full
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and remove the tank. Mop up any spilled water.
- Inspect float mechanism: Check the base for a float that rises with water level. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed or waterlogged.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the base for cracks that might prevent proper water level control.
- Test with partial fill: Fill the tank halfway and reinstall. Observe whether the base fills to a normal level and stops. If it continues to overfill, the float or valve control is faulty.
- Replace float or base: Replace the float assembly or base reservoir if the auto-stop mechanism cannot be restored.
