Possible Causes
Burned-out ultrasonic transducer disc, Loose transducer wiring, Failed transducer driver circuit, Severe mineral scaling on transducer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and empty the tank before working on the base.
- Check water and assembly: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated, and that any mist chimney or nozzle is correctly installed.
- Clean transducer: Gently clean the metal transducer disc in the base with a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar to remove scale. Rinse and dry.
- Observe operation: With the tank removed and a small amount of water in the base, briefly plug in and turn ON. You should see agitation or fine ripples at the transducer. If there is no movement and no mist, the transducer or driver is likely failed.
- Replace assembly: Replace the ultrasonic transducer assembly or the entire base unit if parts are not available.
