• Empty and clean base: Remove the tank and carefully pour out any water from the base reservoir. Clean with mild soap and water, then inspect for hairline cracks.
• Check drain channels: Some models have small channels to direct condensation back into the reservoir. Use a soft brush or pipe cleaner to clear any blockages.
• Reduce output: If the unit is set to maximum in a small, cool room, reduce the mist output to minimize condensation.
• Replace base: If you find a crack or seam leak in the base, the base assembly should be replaced; sealants are not recommended due to constant water exposure and safety concerns.
