• Check hose routing: Avoid loops or upward runs that can trap water and cause backup into the bucket.
• Monitor humidity: Use a separate hygrometer to confirm room humidity. In very wet basements, consider a higher-capacity Whirlpool dehumidifier or additional units.
• Empty bucket more often: Until drainage is optimized, empty the bucket before it reaches full to prevent overflow.

Test: After setting up continuous drain, run the unit and confirm that water flows steadily through the hose and the bucket no longer fills.
