Dehumidifier continuous drain port drips or seeps water around the fitting

Safety: Unplug the unit and remove water from the bucket before working on the drain port.

Steps to stop drain port leaks:

• Remove hose: Unscrew the garden hose from the drain outlet and inspect the threads and gasket.
• Check adapter and O-ring: Many Whirlpool units use a plastic adapter with an O-ring. Ensure the O-ring is intact and seated properly. Replace if cracked or flattened.
• Inspect fitting for cracks: If the plastic drain fitting is cracked, it may need to be replaced as part of the bucket or drain assembly.
• Reattach hose carefully: Thread the hose on by hand to avoid cross-threading. Tighten snugly but do not overtighten.

Test: Pour a small amount of water into the bucket area and observe the drain connection for leaks.
