Steps to address F0:

Dry the control area: If the unit was exposed to high humidity or splashes, allow it to dry for several hours unplugged. Do not use a hair dryer on high heat near plastic parts.
Access the control panel: Remove screws securing the top or front bezel. Carefully lift the panel to expose the user interface (UI) board and ribbon cable.
Inspect ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable is fully inserted into both the UI board and main control board connectors. Look for corrosion or cracks in the cable.
Clean connectors: If light corrosion is present, gently clean contacts with electronics contact cleaner and allow to dry completely.
Replace damaged UI board or cable: If the keypad buttons do not respond or the display is garbled, install a Whirlpool-compatible user interface board and/or ribbon cable.
Main board check: If a new UI board does not resolve F0, the main control board may have a communication fault and require replacement.

Test: Reassemble the panel, restore power, and verify that all buttons respond and F0 is cleared.
