Check placement: Move the unit to an area with better ventilation and away from heat sources or cold drafts.
Observe coils: After running for 10–15 minutes, unplug and inspect the evaporator coil. If heavily iced, the room may be too cold or the defrost sensor may be faulty.
Set a moderate humidity: Avoid setting the humidity extremely low; choose around 45–50% to reduce compressor stress.

If short cycling continues, internal sensors or the compressor may be failing and require professional diagnosis.
