Possible Causes
Insufficient water pressure to inlet valve, Clogged Adler water inlet filter screen, Failed Adler water inlet valve coil, Kinked or pinched water supply line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Adler ice maker and close the water supply valve before working on any water components.
- Check household water supply: Verify the shutoff valve feeding the ice maker is fully open and that other fixtures on the same line have good pressure.
- Inspect the supply hose: Pull the unit forward, ensure the Adler braided water line is not kinked or crushed behind the cabinet. Straighten or replace if damaged.
- Clean inlet filter screen: Disconnect the water line from the Adler water inlet valve at the rear. Remove and rinse the small mesh filter screen inside the valve fitting to clear sediment.
- Test inlet valve coil: With power disconnected, access the rear service panel and locate the Adler water inlet valve assembly. Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Restore and test: Reconnect the line, open the water valve, plug the unit back in, and reset the error (power cycle for 30 seconds). Observe if the fill cycle starts normally.
