F5 error, unit may shut down with water present, or fails to start a new cycle after draining.

Safety First: Disconnect power and shut off water supply before working around the water sump.

• Drain the sump: Manually remove water from the reservoir with a sponge or turkey baster.
• Locate overfill device: Identify the overfill float or sensor in the sump area (refer to the tech sheet or parts diagram).
• Clean and free movement: Remove scale and debris from the float and surrounding area. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed.
• Test switch: For mechanical switches, use a multimeter to check continuity while moving the float. Replace if it does not change state.
• Check drain path: Verify the drain line and pump (if equipped) are clear so water can exit properly.
• Replace faulty parts: Install a new overfill switch or sensor if testing indicates failure.
