Ice maker makes ice but production is very slow, bin never fills completely.

Safety First: Unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing.

• Clean condenser: Remove rear lower panel and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
• Check ambient temperature: Ensure the room temperature is within the recommended range (typically 60–90°F). Very hot rooms reduce capacity.
• Verify water flow: Check the inlet screen and supply line for restrictions. Ensure the reservoir fills quickly and maintains level.
• Descale water system: Mineral buildup on the evaporator and in the reservoir can slow production. Run a manufacturer-approved ice machine cleaner through the system following the Amana instructions.
• Monitor performance: After cleaning and adjustments, allow 24 hours for the bin to fill. If production remains low, a sealed system issue may exist and requires professional service.
