Circulation pump runs loudly but little or no water flows over the evaporator

Safety: Unplug before removing the ice basket or covers.

Steps:

• Clean intake: Remove the ice basket and clean the pump intake screen at the bottom of the reservoir.
• Bleed air: Fill the reservoir fully, then tilt the unit slightly forward and backward (while unplugged) to help release trapped air from the pump.
• Clean distributor: Remove and flush the water distribution tube or spray bar with warm water and vinegar to clear mineral deposits.
• Descale system: Run a full cleaning cycle with ice maker cleaner to dissolve internal scale.
