Ice maker is very noisy during operation; rattling, grinding, or buzzing sounds

Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening screws or touching moving parts.

Steps:

• Level the unit: Ensure the Antarctic Star ice maker is on a flat, stable surface. Adjust feet if provided.
• Tighten panels: Check all external screws and internal brackets for looseness. Tighten gently to reduce rattles.
• Inspect fan: Remove the rear panel and inspect the condenser fan. Remove any debris hitting the blades. Replace the fan motor if it wobbles or grinds.
• Check pump: If noise comes from the reservoir area, the circulation pump may be cavitating due to low water. Fill the reservoir and see if noise decreases. Replace the pump if it remains loud.
• Compressor mounts: Inspect rubber grommets under the compressor. Replace if cracked or missing to reduce vibration.
