Ice maker runs continuously and never stops even when bin is full; ice overflows

Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting sensors.

Steps:

• Verify sensor type: Identify whether your Antarctic Star model uses an IR sensor or mechanical arm.
• Test mechanical arm: Move the arm to the "full" position by hand while the unit is running. The machine should stop making ice. If not, the switch or wiring is faulty.
• Check IR sensor alignment: Ensure the emitter and receiver are directly facing each other and not blocked.
• Inspect wiring: Follow sensor wires to the control board and check for breaks or loose connectors.
• Replace sensor: If the sensor does not respond to manual tests, replace the ice level sensor assembly.
