E06
Arktic
Water Level Sensor or Float Switch Fault
Water level error; unit fills too much or not enough, sometimes overflows into bin

Possible Causes
Stuck mechanical float, Failed electronic water level sensor, Mineral buildup on sensor probes, Wiring issue between sensor and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the ice maker and shut off water before working on the water system.
Procedure:
- Locate level control: On most Arktic ice makers, the water level is controlled by either a float switch in the reservoir or electronic probes.
- Clean float or probes: Remove the reservoir cover. If there is a float, move it up and down to ensure free movement. Clean any scale or slime with warm water and a mild vinegar solution. For probe-type sensors, gently clean the stainless probes with a non-abrasive pad.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the float/sensor to the control board for loose connectors or corrosion. Reseat plugs firmly.
- Test switch: For float switches, use a multimeter to check continuity as you move the float. Replace the float switch if it does not change state.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning does not resolve E06 and wiring is intact, replace the water level sensor or float assembly with an OEM Arktic part.
