Possible Causes
Partially closed shutoff valve, Clogged inline water filter, Failed water flow sensor, Scale buildup in inlet tubing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off water and unplug the unit before disconnecting lines.
Procedure:
- Verify shutoff valve: Ensure the supply valve to the Arktic ice maker is fully open.
- Replace or bypass filter: If your unit has an external or internal water filter, replace it with a new Arktic-compatible cartridge. As a test, you can temporarily bypass the filter to see if flow improves.
- Inspect tubing: Check the inlet tubing for kinks or crushing. Replace any damaged sections.
- Check flow sensor: Some models use a turbine or paddle flow sensor. Remove and inspect for debris or scale. Clean gently and reinstall. If the sensor does not spin freely or tests open electrically, replace it.
