Ambient temperature sensor error; unit may not start or runs erratically

Safety First: Disconnect power before removing panels.

Steps:

• Locate sensor: The ambient thermistor is usually mounted near the air intake grille or behind the front panel on Arktic ice makers.
• Inspect wiring: Check for loose or corroded connectors. Reseat the plug at the sensor and control board.
• Test resistance: Measure thermistor resistance at room temperature and compare to Arktic specs. Replace if readings are open, shorted, or far out of range.
• Seal replacement: When installing a new sensor, ensure any grommets or seals are properly seated to prevent moisture ingress.
