Possible Causes
Closed or restricted water supply valve, Clogged inlet water filter screen, Failed water inlet valve coil, Kinked or frozen water supply line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the ice maker and close the water supply valve before disconnecting any water lines.
- Confirm water supply: Locate the dedicated shutoff valve for the Asko ice maker (usually under the sink or behind the unit). Ensure it is fully open.
- Inspect supply line: Pull the unit out carefully and check the copper or braided hose for kinks or crushing. Straighten any kinks and ensure there is no visible damage.
- Clean inlet screen: Turn off the water valve. Disconnect the water line from the ice maker's water inlet valve. Inside the valve fitting, there is often a small mesh screen. Rinse it under running water to remove debris and reinstall.
- Check for freezing: If the unit is installed in a cold area, feel the supply line for ice hardness. Thaw gently with warm towels; do not use open flame.
- Test valve operation: Restore water and power. Start a cycle and listen for the valve click and water flow. If the E02 returns and no water enters, the water inlet valve assembly is likely defective and should be replaced.
