Possible Causes
Faulty water level sensor, Mineral buildup on water level probe, Loose wiring to level sensor, Low water pressure to unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off water before accessing internal components.
- Check water pressure: Ensure the household water pressure is adequate (typically 20–120 psi). Very low pressure can prevent the reservoir from filling properly.
- Access water reservoir: Remove the front panel or top cover (model dependent) to locate the water reservoir and level sensor/probe assembly.
- Clean level probe: If your Asko model uses stainless steel level probes, remove mineral scale with a soft cloth and white vinegar. Do not scratch the probe surface.
- Inspect float switch (if equipped): Some models use a float. Verify it moves freely and is not stuck by scale or debris. Clean the float and housing.
- Check wiring harness: Confirm the connector from the level sensor to the control board is fully seated and not corroded.
- Reassemble and test: Restore water and power, then run a cycle. If E03 persists, the water level sensor assembly is likely defective and should be replaced.
