Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Loose fan wiring connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working near the fan or compressor.
- Access fan area: Remove the rear lower service panel to expose the condenser fan assembly.
- Check for obstructions: Look for insulation, wiring, or debris caught in the fan blades. Remove any obstruction and ensure the blades spin freely by hand.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the fan motor connector is fully seated on the harness and that wires are not cut or pinched.
- Test fan operation: With panels still off but all parts clear, briefly plug in the unit and start a cycle while observing the fan. If it does not start and you have confirmed it spins freely, the motor is likely failed.
- Replace fan motor: Disconnect power again, remove mounting screws, and replace the fan motor with an Asko-compatible condenser fan assembly.
