Possible Causes
Stuck open water inlet valve, Faulty overflow sensor or float, Control board misreading fill time, Siphoning due to improper drain installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and close the water supply valve.
- Check drain installation: Ensure the drain hose is installed with a proper air gap or high loop as specified by Asko. A hose run too low can cause siphoning and trigger overflow errors.
- Inspect overflow float: Access the reservoir and locate the overflow float or sensor. Make sure it moves freely and is not stuck by scale or debris. Clean with warm water and mild detergent.
- Test inlet valve: With water off, disconnect the outlet side of the water inlet valve. Turn water on briefly. If water continues to flow through the valve when it should be closed, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Reassemble and test: Restore proper drain routing, clean the float, and replace the inlet valve if needed. Clear the error by unplugging for several minutes, then restart.
