Possible Causes
Leaking water inlet fitting, Cracked reservoir or hose, Loose drain connection, Activated base pan float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Remove toe-kick or lower panel: Access the base of the unit and inspect for standing water in the drip tray or base pan.
- Dry the base: Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove all water. Locate the leak detection float switch and ensure it moves freely once dry.
- Identify leak source: With water still off, inspect the inlet hose connection, reservoir, internal tubing, and drain hose for cracks, loose clamps, or mineral tracks indicating a leak path.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, reseat push-fit connectors, or replace any cracked hoses or reservoirs with Asko-approved parts.
- Test for leaks: Turn water back on while observing the internal plumbing. If no leaks appear, reassemble and restore power. If E13 returns, the leak sensor or float switch may be faulty and require replacement.
