Possible Causes
Moisture intrusion into control panel, Failed touchpad or UI PCB, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Electrical noise or surge damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel was recently exposed to cleaning sprays or moisture, allow it to dry completely for several hours with the door open and power off.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel bezel to access the user interface board. Check that the ribbon cable is fully seated at both the UI and main control board.
- Look for corrosion: Examine the UI PCB for signs of corrosion, burnt components, or liquid residue. Clean light residue with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Power reset: Reassemble, then plug the unit back in and perform a control reset (if documented in the user manual) by holding specific buttons.
- Replace UI board: If E14 persists and buttons remain unresponsive, the user interface board should be replaced.
