Possible Causes
Blocked or failed ice level sensor, Bin not installed correctly, Harvest sweep arm not stopping at home position, Control board not responding to full-bin signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning sensors or adjusting mechanisms.
- Check bin installation: Ensure the bin is fully seated and aligned with the ice level sensor area.
- Clean ice level sensor: Wipe the infrared sensor windows or mechanical switch area with a soft cloth to remove frost or residue.
- Observe harvest stop: Watch a harvest cycle and confirm the sweep arm returns to its home position and stops. If it continues cycling, the sensor or control may be faulty.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning and bin adjustment do not restore proper shutoff, replace the ice level sensor module.
