Avanti ice maker does not turn on at all, no lights or display, completely dead.

Safety: Do not open the unit while it is plugged in. Use a non-contact voltage tester if available.

Steps:

• 1. Check household power: Verify the outlet has power by plugging in another device. Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets.
• 2. Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or crushed sections on the Avanti power cord. If damaged, the cord must be replaced by a qualified technician.
• 3. Try a different outlet: Plug the ice maker directly into a known-good, grounded outlet (no extension cords).
• 4. Access control board fuse: Unplug the unit, remove the control panel or rear cover, and look for a small glass or ceramic fuse on the main PCB. Test with a multimeter and replace with the same rating if blown.
• 5. Replace control board: If the fuse is good and power is present at the board input but the unit remains dead, the main control board is likely faulty and should be replaced.
