Avanti ice maker displays E10 and will not start an ice cycle; control panel may still respond.

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before working around the door switch area.

Steps:

• 1. Check door closure: Make sure the door or lid closes fully and the gasket is not obstructed by ice or debris.
• 2. Locate door switch: On many Avanti models, the switch is located in the door frame or under the lid with a small plunger or magnetic reed switch.
• 3. Inspect switch and magnet: If your model uses a magnet in the door, ensure it is still in place and aligned with the switch. For plunger switches, confirm the plunger moves freely when the door is opened and closed.
• 4. Test continuity: With the unit unplugged, remove the switch and test it with a multimeter. It should open and close electrically as the actuator is pressed and released. Replace if it fails.
• 5. Check wiring: Verify the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the main control board.
