Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the compressor area.

Check mounts: Remove the rear panel and inspect the Balay compressor mounting bolts and rubber grommets. Tighten loose bolts and replace cracked grommets.
Inspect tubing: Ensure refrigerant lines are not touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend them away to create clearance, taking care not to kink the tubing.
Level the unit: Use a spirit level to confirm the ice maker is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust leveling feet as needed.
Compressor condition: If noise persists and appears internal to the compressor, consult a professional technician; compressor replacement may be required.
