• Check lock icon: If a lock symbol is shown, disable the control lock according to the Balay user manual (usually by holding a specific button combination).
• Bin status: Empty the ice bin and ensure it is correctly seated. Clean the bin sensor area.
• Delay timer: Verify that no delayed start program is active; cancel any timers.
• Button test: If the start/stop button does not respond, the user interface PCB or button membrane may need replacement.
