Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain hose, Failed condensate drain pump (if equipped), Water leak from inlet tubing or valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve.
Procedure:
- Inspect base pan: Remove the front kick plate or rear panel to view the base. Mop up any standing water with towels.
- Check drain outlet: Locate the internal drain hose from the evaporator tray to the base or external drain. Clear any slime, ice, or debris using a flexible brush or pipe cleaner.
- Test drain pump (if fitted): Pour a small amount of water into the internal sump and reconnect power briefly to see if the pump evacuates water. If the pump hums but does not pump, or is silent with voltage present, replace the pump.
- Inspect for leaks: Examine the water inlet valve, tubing, and connections for drips while the water supply is on. Tighten fittings or replace cracked tubing.
- Reset error: After resolving the cause and drying the leak sensor area, unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then restart.
