How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance.
Steps:
- Check all NTC sensors: Measure resistance of evaporator and cabinet sensors at a known temperature and compare to Bauknecht specifications.
- Verify mounting: Ensure sensors are firmly attached to surfaces (evaporator plate, cabinet wall) with clips or thermal paste as originally installed.
- Replace suspect sensors: If any sensor is significantly out of spec, replace it with the correct Bauknecht part.
- Control board: If all sensors are within tolerance but E16 persists, the main control PCB may have an internal measurement fault and require replacement.
