E19 displayed, ice maker does not respond to commands, but display is lit.

Steps (no disassembly):

• Check for control lock: Many Bauknecht models allow locking the keypad. Press and hold the designated lock/unlock button (often a key symbol) for 3–5 seconds to toggle.
• Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then reconnect to reset the software.
• Inspect buttons: Press each button individually to feel for sticking. If a button is physically stuck, gently free it. If the fascia is warped, the UI panel may need replacement.

If E19 persists after these steps, the user interface board may be defective and should be replaced.
