E5 error displayed, ice maker stops, water may not enter the ice tray.

Safety: Turn off the water supply and unplug the unit before working on the water system.

Procedure:

• Check water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve feeding the Bauknecht ice maker is fully open. Verify water pressure (ideally above 1.5 bar).
• Inspect inlet hose: Disconnect the hose from the rear of the unit and check for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Clean or replace as needed.
• Clean inlet filter: Many Bauknecht valves have a small mesh filter at the valve inlet. Remove and rinse under running water to clear debris.
• Test valve coil: With the valve disconnected, measure coil resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed valve. Replace the water inlet valve assembly if defective.
• Check for leaks: After reassembly, slowly turn on water and inspect for drips at all connections.

Once water flow is restored, reconnect power and run a test cycle to confirm the E5 code is cleared.
