Possible Causes

Dirty water supply line, Biofilm or mold inside ice bin, Mineral buildup in ice tray and reservoir

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and close the water supply.

Cleaning procedure:

  • Empty bin: Discard all existing ice.
  • Clean bin and tray: Wash the ice storage bin, tray, and accessible internal surfaces with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Descale: Run a cleaning cycle if your Bauknecht model supports it, using a manufacturer-approved ice maker cleaner.
  • Flush water line: Disconnect the inlet hose and flush several liters of water through it into a bucket.
