• 1. Differentiate normal vs abnormal:
  • Some knocking when ice drops into the bin is normal.
  • Continuous or very loud banging indicates a problem.
• 2. Check bin cushioning:
  • Ensure the ice bin is correctly installed and not warped.
  • Replace a cracked bin that amplifies noise.
• 3. Inspect refrigerant lines:
  • At the rear, gently move copper lines away from metal panels if they are touching.
• 4. Examine ejector mechanism:
  • Remove internal cover and watch a cycle.
  • Ensure the ejector arm is not hitting a solid block of ice; if so, follow E13 to address harvest issues.
